Pay-For-Spray

DECEMBER 4--It seemed like a straightforward arrangement:

I give you $300.

You urinate on me in the bathroom of the Days Inn across from the Ryder rental office in York, Pennsylvania.

But while the pay-for-spray arrangement appears to have gone as planned inside Room 140, during a subsequent encounter in the hotel parking lot, a 66-year-old man--who paid the female provider--fired a shot at the woman’s Nissan Rogue as she drove away.

The gunman, David Martin Butts, 66, apparently believed that Brittany Abosede, 34, had swiped his wallet after she finished urinating on him “while he laid in the tub.”

According to a probable cause statement, both Butts and Abosede, in separate police interviews, confirmed the terms of their Days Inn golden shower two weeks ago.

Abosede (seen at right) said she was parked outside eating potato chips when Butts confronted her and fired a single bullet, leaving a hole in a passenger side door. While Butts said that he feared Abosede may have been reaching for a weapon while insider her car, he “didn’t recall shooting his gun.”

Cops recovered a 9mm cartridge casing at the scene, and later seized a 9mm Sig Sauer handgun from Butts, who lives in Harrisburg, about 30 miles from the Days Inn.

Butts was charged with multiple assault counts, reckless endangerment, and patronizing a prostitute. Free on $75,000 bond, he is scheduled for a January 4 preliminary hearing.

Abosede was charged several misdemeanors, including promoting prostitution and theft. She was freed from jail after posting $5000 bond and is also set for a January 4 court appearance. Abosede, who appears to have worked as an escort for more than a decade, received a $16,040 Paycheck Protection Program loan in 2021. Her industry is listed in federal records as “Independent Artists, Writers, and Performers.” (2 pages)
